UN BAL

Work in progress
Creation 2027-28

Referencing on the 19th-century ball known as “the ball of the madwomen,” held at the Salpétrière Hospital, “Un bal” breaks down and reassembles the nervous, pathological, or pathologized gesture. Beyond that, the piece is a reflection on the historical evolution of how we view what escapes control—or how to move from a “crisis-like gesture” to a joyful, collective dance.
